Certificates are available to be collected by Private Candidates who sat CXC examinations - CSEC and CAPE - from January 2013 to January 2018 at our offices in Kingston and Montego Bay, St. James.

Proof of identification (Passport, Driver's Licence or National ID) and the Preliminary Result Slip are required for collection.  

Candidates who do not have their Preliminary Result Slip, will be required to state where and when they sat the examinations.

July 13, 2017

Private Candidates who sat CXC - CSEC and CAPE examinations from January 2011 to June 2016 MUST collect their Certificate(s) immediately from our Office.

You will need to take along with you the following documents to collect your Certificate(s):-

Identification (Passport, Driver's Licence or National ID) Preliminary Result Slip. If you do not have your Preliminary Result Slip, then you must be able to state where and when you sat your examinations.

Overseas Examination Commission has signed an agreement with Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing (CBT) business of Pearson, to test candidates pursuing key industry certifications from leading IT programs, such as Cisco, CompTIA, EMC, HP, LPI, Oracle and VMware.

Pearson VUE believes testing and certification is at the heart of the learning experience, and Overseas Examination Commission will play its part by offering accessible and secure testing to candidates.

In light of recent media reports, the Overseas Examinations Commission (OEC), which has been in operation for 129 years of distinguished service to the Government and people of Jamaica and acts as a Proctoring (Supervisory) Body for many Overseas Examining Boards, including the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), wishes to clarify aspects of the administration of examinations and highlight its role and the processes involved for the information of the general public.

The Cambridge Local Examinations Committee celebrated its 75th year on Saturday. In a ceremony at St. Luke's Hall, book prizes were presented to students who stood highest in their various groups in the School Certificate Examinations.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Cambridge Local Examinations in Jamaica, the Cambridge Local Examinations Committee is offering this year book prizes to the value of £75 to candidates who gained the highest marks in the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate examination last December.
